About
The Our Voices magazine will focus on prominent issues in
the world today.
Our mission is to allow youth to express themselves in a meaningful way, and
create a safe space where youth can talk about the current rocky political climate and injustices
in our world and the local and global issues they care about.
We are looking to build a writer and
editor team of open-ended writers/editors, current events writers/editors, and reporters who write
articles about local stories and issues (there will be freedom to move around in these roles).
We are also looking for a creative team to publish art works, poetry, short stories, photography,
and any other creative endeavor about issues they care about/stories they would like to tell.
For the creative team, we are looking for both people to be permanent members, who contribute to
the magazine every issue and attend all meetings, and people who want to sporadically contribute to
the magazine. However, if you wish to sporadically contribute, there is no guarantee your work will be published.
